Aircraft light shafts. City skyglow. A different kind of night.
Atmospheric lighting for X-Plane 12.
Landing lights reaching into the night. Towns glowing beneath low cloud. YALP brings atmospheric lighting effects to your X-Plane 12 flights.
Built as a native Windows plugin with Vulkan integration. The current experimental version is being tested; public downloads and purchases will follow.
Development statusLanding and taxi lights become visible beams in the air. Moving cloud structure adds depth inside the shafts as you fly.
Regional light fields turn settlement and road density into a soft urban glow, lighting haze and low cloud. Coverage follows the installed geographic tiles.
Ambient night lighting follows the Moon, cloud cover and nearby city glow. Choose a darker, natural or brighter level to suit your flight.
Local headlight illumination adds light near the aircraft in cloud. Cloud interaction and passage remain under active visual testing.
In developmentNear-field rain streaks follow the weather and wind, picking up light from aircraft beams and the city. This effect is experimental.
ExperimentalAdjust beam brightness, city glow, haze, rain and render quality from the in-sim panel. Save a preset and load your preferred look on startup.
